Join us for a Zoom meeting with Peter Meijer and Hillary Scholten who are running for Congress in Michigan's 3rd district. Both will be discussing health insurance and their stances on important topics affecting our industry.
 Hillary Scholten is a Democrat and former Department of Justice attorney who enforced our immigration laws. She was raised in a middle-class family and is a lifelong devout Christian who worked at Mel Trotter Ministries. Her faith taught her to focus on right and wrong, not left and right. In Congress, she will work to get people back to work and help struggling small businesses, not just those at the top. She’ll also take on health care costs, fix our roads, and get pollution out of our drinking water.
 Peter Meijer is an Iraq War veteran, the grandson of Fred Meijer, and a native of West Michigan. Peter is running to restore strong, stable, and effective leadership to West Michigan in Congress. Throughout Peter's life, he has chosen the path of service over self. His desire to serve brought him to Iraq with the US Army, to Afghanistan as a conflict analyst, and across the world working as a humanitarian aid worker in disaster zones with Team Rubicon, a veteran group that provides relief to some of the world's most vulnerable populations. Peter is running to fix our healthcare system to expand access, protect individuals with pre-existing conditions, and lower costs. In uncertain times, West Michigan needs proven leadership, and Peter looks forward to leading West Michigan into a new era.
